057 Grandparenting with Purpose- Triple P, Trauma Awareness, and Community Voice

In-Person | Registration opens 8/5/2026 9:00 AM CDT

Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking workshop that blends the proven strategies of Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) with a deeper understanding of childhood trauma and its impact on a child’s developing brain and body. Participants will explore how stress and adversity can affect a human physiology across a lifetime—shaping emotional regulation, behavior, and relationships—and how parents can respond with confidence, compassion, and consistency.

This session highlights the powerful role parents play as both guides and buffers, using practical Triple P tools to build strong relationships, encourage positive behavior, and create safe, supportive environments where children can thrive. You’ll walk away with actionable strategies grounded both in science and real-life parenting. The workshop will also provide positive suggestions for how grandparents can take a more intentional and supportive role as your children face the many challenges of being positive parents.

In addition to learning, this workshop will seek your input. Participants will have the opportunity to share ideas, insights, and suggestions on how to expand and strengthen Triple P parenting supports across Door County—helping ensure these valuable resources reach more families in meaningful and accessible ways.

Come be part of a conversation that empowers grandparents and parents, strengthens families, and builds a more resilient community.
