Learn about the fabled Dome House, designed and built in 1978 by local artist and Door County resident, Albert Quinlan, in this presentation by his daughter, MaryGrace Quinlan. She will explain the original inspiration for this self-regulatory house, as well as its many fascinating design features. The Dome House changed hands in the early 1980s and for decades sat empty-shrouded in mystery and local folklore. In 2016, MaryGrace and her husband restored the house to its original condition. Today, Dome House is operated by the family as a community space for local residents, artists, and families to gather inspiration from the natural beauty of the Door County landscape.
