073 The Heins Creek Story

In-Person | Registration opens 1/7/2026 9:00 AM CST

The Heins Creek Story is told through photographs that take you along the trail. At the sand dunes, you’ll learn about the formation of the Door Peninsula, the first inhabitants on the land, and artifacts that tell their story. At a stop overlooking the granary built by German settler William Hein, the Hein family history will come alive. At the creek, you will learn how everything is connected and flows together in the ever-changing story being told by Heins Creek, the Door County peninsula, and the Great Lakes. Marilyn invites you to come with the question, “Where does the water come from before it flows into Heins Creek?”
