In countless musicals, composers and lyricists have used elements of nature as metaphors, creating some of the most memorable show tunes. A few repeats from last year, but mostly new vignettes based on our Interlochen Public radio feature, “Outdoors with Coggin Heeringa”. This class will listen to selected musical numbers, learn a bit of plotline or backstories, and then discuss the natural history of selected stanzas.
