109 Seed Saving 101-How to Get Started

In-Person | Registration opens 8/6/2025 9:00 AM CDT

Have you ever wanted to save your garden seeds but didn’t know where to begin? Door County Seed Library planning team members Penne Wilson and Pat Webster will explain why saving and sharing seeds is essential to sustainable and healthy communities. You’ll learn how to prevent cross-pollination, when to harvest, methods of saving them with supplies you already have, and how to store the seeds until it’s time to plant. You’ll also have the opportunity to take home several seed-saving handouts, as well as Ken Paschke beans, a bred-in-Door-County variety, and lettuce and radish seed heads so you can practice seed threshing at home!
