088 The Murder of Emmitt Till and the Birth of the Modern Civil Rights Movement

The course will explore how information regarding the murder of Emmitt Till has evolved over time. Those changes provide insight into the judicial system, how we decide what is credible information and how we determine what is history. It will also consider how the death of Emmitt Till and the actions of his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, impacted the start of the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s.
