027 Civilian Response to Active Threat Events
In-Person | Registration opens 8/6/2025 9:00 AM CDT
Since the Columbine High School massacre in April 1999, both law enforcement personnel and civilians have responded differently to these events. Law enforcement personnel have been educating civilians on proven tactics to better increase their odds on surviving an active threat. We will discuss the tactics of yesterday vs the tactics of today and why current tactics saves lives. The class will learn the physiological changes their body goes through when they are confronted with a truly stressful situation and how to combat those changes so they can make a rational decision that could save their life. The class will learn Avoid Deny Defend (ADD) and how to apply A.D.D. during an active threat.
