007 American Culture in An Age of Doubt: The 1970s

The class will analyze the impact of the turmoil of the Vietnam War and Watergate through the experiences shared in a diary by Gerald Bostock who was a teen when the decade began and a member of the labor force by 1979. The presentation will do this by looking at the music, art, sports, movies, television shows, and political and economic events of the era. There will be a heavy emphasis on the music of the times.
