101 Therapeutic Yoga for Low Back Health

Yoga adapted for you can be a helpful practice for anyone who wants to maintain good low back health or needs to manage low back tension and pain. In this 4-week series, we explore resting positions to relieve low back pain, postures for strengthening and stretching the muscles that support the low back, breathing practices that help relieve muscle tension and strengthen core muscles, and guided relaxation to help reduce tension and pain. You will receive a home practice to work with in between classes. If possible, we will work on the floor, in kneeling and in standing. Postures will be adapted for those who are unable to be on the floor. Have a yoga or exercise mat, blanket or towel, and a chair available.
