This class will tour the Wisconsin DNR’s Strawberry Creek Chinook salmon facility during the spring operations.  Strawberry Creek is the DNR’s primary egg collection site for Chinook salmon.  Over 100,000 small fingerling Chinook are stocked and reared at Strawberry Creek each spring, and then as mature adults these fish return to spawn during the fall.  This tour will include an overview of Strawberry Creek, with an emphasis on spring monitoring, rearing, and feeding fish.  There will be continuous walking and standing.  Meet at the Knights of Columbus parking lot.
