The art of stitching by hand with a needle, thread and fabric has recently acquired a new name:  slow stitching.  This can be very relaxing and meditative.  In this two-session class, we will view examples from several cultures along with current work from textile artists practicing this art form.  After a hands-on review of a few basic stitches, you will make your own slow stitch creation that is personal, useful and beautiful.
