080 Presidential Power and the Supreme Court's Immunity Decision
In-Person | Registration opens 1/8/2025 9:00 AM CST
This class will explore Article II of the U.S. Constitution which is the primary source for presidential power. We will look at how presidential power has been exercised throughout U.S. history. We will discuss the Supreme Court’s 2024 decision where a majority of the Court found, in certain circumstances, that the President is immune from criminal liability for “official acts”. We will examine the scope of that immunity and whether the President can really send Seal Team Six to assassinate a political rival.
