Learn to weave a basket from beautifully painted paper.  In the first session you will be painting your paper using a variety of acrylic paints.  The other two sessions will be devoted to weaving the paper into a cat-head style basket that is a perfect size to use on a table or as a candy dish or to hold artificial flowers.  No prior weaving experience is necessary; all necessary materials are provided.  Baskets can be decorated with beads (not provided.)  Contact presenter at bayshorebaskets@yahoo.com prior to class for information on bead sizes and quantities, which will be discussed during the first class.

NOTE:  YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT THE FIRST CLASS IF YOU WISH TO CONTINUE.

First class:  Wear old clothes.  Bring stamps, sponges, or special brushes if you like; paint and basic brushes will be provided.  You will be painting your own paper for your basket, and it can get messy!

Second and third classes:  bring a pencil, ruler, or tape measure (measure up to 6 inches), and sharp scissors for paper.  Paper, floss, and other tools will be provided.
