Carl Cochrane, retired biology/ environmental science teacher from Sturgeon Bay High School, knows the Ship Canal Preserve like no one else.  Join Carl as he leads a relaxed walking tour of the preserve, pointing out its unique topography, endangered plant and animal species, and the fascinating human history of the largest tract of undeveloped land within the city limits.  The hike over uneven terrain, is about 1.5 miles; may be standing for long periods of time.
