017 Civilian Response to Active Threat Events
In-Person | Registration opens 1/8/2025 9:00 AM CST
Since the Columbine High School massacre in 1999 there has been a paradigm shift in how law enforcement and civilians respond to active shooter events. Civilians have taken a more active role in helping to reduce the number of deaths in these events. The class will gain valuable and useful knowledge on how to better survive an active threat should you be caught in the middle of one. The class will learn the physiological changes a body goes through during an event like this and what you can do to combat those changes so you can make a rational decision to better increase your odds of survival. The class will learn AVOID DENY DEFEND (ADD) and what ADD means in an active shooter event.
