In-Person | Registration opens 1/8/2025 9:00 AM CST

The class will examine the various periods of territorial expansion in American History.  Included in this will be a study of colonial expansion, the Louisiana Territory, the acquisition of Texas, the war with Mexico, post-Civil War expansion including the building of the Transcontinental Railroad, conflict with the native tribes, and the Age of Imperialism.  It will also deal with non-territorial expansion such as immigration, the building of the interstate system and the quest to reach the Moon.  The presentation will use music, art, literature, and photos to convey a sense of the various eras in American history.
