Door 44 Winery/Vineyard Sturgeon Bay Tour and Tasting: Five S’s of Wine Appreciation. Walk in our Door 44 Vineyard where we will discuss everything from soil to glass, as well as how and why we grow and make the wine we do. We will eventually end up in the production area. Along the way, we will sample five different wines and demonstrate the five S’s of wine appreciation. We will discuss the basics of wine growing and wine making but also delve into such subjects as terroir, wine appellations, and wine chemistry, in other words, the joy of wine. Please note that this class includes walking and standing.
