Exploring Composition in Painting

Exploring Composition in Painting will introduce painting concepts to enhance one's working with paint. Working on practices to leave the world behind and push some creativity into focus. Canvas preparation, working studies, thumbnails, brush, palette knives, textual applications of media will all be addressed. Expressionist, action painting will be more of a focus rather than detail representation.
- Recommended Supplies:
Golden Acrylic Heavy Body Paints (your choice of colors, ideally a full range of color is recommended)
Instructor Suggestions on paint colors : Cadmium Red Light, Aliz
arian Crimson, Hansa Yellow, Cadmium Yellow dark, Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Viridian Green, Turquoise (phtalo), Colbalt Blue, Ultramarine Blue.
Golden Acrylic Heavy Body- WHITE (for mixing)
A range of palette knives and brushes up to 2" to 4" wide for larger work
Paper Palette for mixing paints
Canvases :
6"x 6" - 4 (at least)
YOUR CHOICE of the following size: you will need 4-6 of the following mix and match sizes to further your explorations!
