Are you ready for an in-person workshop at the Art Alliance? Enjoy painting botanical watercolors in a relaxed atmosphere. This class is designed for all levels of watercolor experience. We will capture the gesture and fresh and vibrant colors of summer flowers. We will be painting from fresh flowers brought into the studio. You will
work on a verity of pieces.

Thynell, Lena

Lena Thynell is an art instructor at the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania. Watercolor painting started out as a hobby 25 years ago. After a long career as a registered nurse, nurse midwife and department head at the local hospital in Sweden, Lena became interested in watercolor painting: watercolor has now become an important part of her life. She got her education in watercolor painting at the Gerlesborg Art school in Sweden. Lena has participated in several juried art shows in Sweden and has recently started to show her work in the USA. Lena is a Signature Member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, the Philadelphia Watercolor Society and the Baltimore Watercolor Society. Her paintings were accepted into the Philadelphia Watercolor Society International Exhibition of Works on Paper, the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society International Juried Exhibition, and the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society Annual International Exhibition, Aqueous Open. Artist statement: I take risks, I try to create rather than duplicate.
